The Aquadome is owned by the City of Playford and is managed by the YMCA.
In 2010 the centre won the Sports and Recreation Facility of the Year after its $15 million refurbishment that saw a upgraded 50 metre pool, addition of a 25 metre pool and a beach entry pool, the longest water slide in South Australia, some new changing facilities, inclusion of a larger gym and group exercise studio and child minding area.
